Noun

Noun is the name of a person , Place ,thing , idea , animal , etc. e.g. Ram , America , John , boy , girl , milk , love ,etc.

There are five kinds of noun (According to traditional English Grammar ) .
1. Proper Noun
2. Common Noun
3. Collective Noun
4. Material Noun
5. Abstract Noun
Now let's read them in details :-
1. Proper Noun :- It denotes any particular Person or Place . e.g. Monu , Nishu , Darbhanga , Patna , India etc.
Note :- First letter of any Proper Noun begins with Capital letter always.
2. Common Noun :- It deals with any particular Community or group. e.g.  Boy , girl , cow , lion , etc.
3. Collective Noun :- It denotes any particular group of people , thing , etc. e.g. Bunch of keys , group of people , Troop of Army , bunch of grapes , etc.
4. Material Noun :- It denotes about the things which can be weighted or measured. e.g. milk , oil , money , gold , water , etc.
5. Abstract Noun :- It denotes about the things which cannot be seen or touched but can be felt . e.g. Honesty , love , hate , air ,etc

But in Modern English Grammar there are three types/ kinds of Nouns :-
1. Proper Noun
2. Countable Noun
3. Uncountable Noun
Let's see them  in details :-
1 .Proper Noun  :- Do ( We have all ready discussed earlier . )
2 . Countable Noun :-  Common Noun + Collective Noun
3 . Uncountable Noun :-  Material Noun + Abstract Noun.
